All of May! Really, all of it.

We are going to miss the beautiful weather in San Diego when we leave. The kids love to play in the sprinklers in the backyard. And I can just send them outside when I need a few (very few) minutes of quiet. The sprinkler cycles off and on to different parts of the yard while the kids play. Wyatt was playing in a sprinkler free area when the water came back on so that's why he has such a grumpy face.
Logan was having fun though!

Ethan was having fun too with his cute little boy tatooes.

Playdough fun in the backyard. It kept them busy for quite a while.

We had a pacifier intervention a few weeks ago. The twins were fighting (with each other) over them, and when they'd see one, and not be able to reach it, they'd scream and yell. It gave me a whole new appreciation for my own mother. (there were 7 of us screaming and yelling!) We cut the pacifiers off cold-turkey, but everyone has now recovered from the withdrawals.

Wyatt figured, "if one is good, two must be better". And, of course, that was Logan's pacifier he'd stolen.

A big thank you to Costco for this wonderful toy that the twins enjoyed together. This has been a big hit at our house . . . and they gave it to us for free!!!

So it was a really beautiful day here (it's always nice in San Diego), and so at noon I sent Ethan out back with a sack lunch. We have a really nice backyard with green grass, a great picnic table and lots of benches. When I went to check on him a few minutes later, he was enjoying his lunch . . . IN THE ROCKS! I thought it was so funny I had to take a picture.

April

In April we got written orders to move to Twentynine Palms, CA. Matthew will be providing medical care for the Marines on base. We'll be moving in July and hopefully Matthew won't be deployed right away. We'll just have to wait and see. :)

The twins are growing so fast! They're especially good at taking off their clothes and running around in their diapers. Wyatt's on the left, Logan on the right.

Grady's class had a concert in April. They san nursery rhymes to music. It was really cute!!

He was supposed to be singing in this picture, but I guess he decided to just listen and chill.

I'm posting again!!!

In March, Grady got an award at school for Good Citizenship. Here are some pics of the assembly:

As you can see, the twins weren't really impressed with Grady's award. This is Logan:

Here's Wyatt:

We also celebrated Matthew's birthday at the end of March. I made him a yummy carrot cake recipe that he really likes. Let me preface this with an explanation : Several months ago sugar was mysteriouly dissapearing from my canister. So I replaced the sugar with salt and the thievery ended. When I went to make Matthews cake I hadn't baked in a while and I forgot about the sugar/salt switcheroo. Needless to say, it was a good thing we tasted the cake before frosting it. It was saltier than top ramen!

So I used the frosting that I had made for the cake and he got cream cheese graham crackers. :)

So this morning Ethan tried to use the clippers on his own hair. If he was looking for something stylish, he was not very successful. I'm so glad he's not a girl, at least it will grow out quickly! The first picture is immediately after his attempt at barbery (is that a word?). The second picture is my attempt to make it less noticable. He cut it so short that the only way for me to truly blend it in, would be to shave his head. He was pretty thrilled with the short cut though, he kept telling me that now he has hair like his Dad. :)

Oh, and after Grady saw Ethan haircut, he said he wanted one like that too. (Not very likely!)

It's Spring in San Diego

This is in our backyard! We have only one orange left on our tree and when Matthew went outside to pick it, he was threatened by a Hummingbird. I don't think he was very scared though. :) The nest has eggs in it, so we'll have to keep watch for baby hummingbirds. We also didn't show it to the kids because it's low to the ground and I'm afraid curiosity might kill the cat, or rather, the bird this time. I just thought this picture was so cool.

This is hilarious!!!

A Fun Family Home Evening

Recently we had a Family Home Evening on our senses. So Matthew and I blindfolded the boys and had them walk around the house and then we sat them down in the kitchen and fed them lots of different foods. It was a fun family home evening.

Ethan kept peeking!!
